Authoring in Paligo

This chapter describes how to build content and publications in Paligo, making reuse and single-sourcing easy.

Paligo is built on the ideas of "topic-based authoring". The idea is that a publication is built out of building blocks, or "topics", that can be reused in many places. For instance, an operation manual may contain many warnings, or "safety messages" that are often generic. They can be reused in the documentation for many different products. The same thing goes for many other sections of content, such as warranty texts, general introductions, or even instructions for products with similar functionality.
